Through a rigorous vocabulary of movement, Fables offers a sometimes harsh, sometimes poetic vision of women’s ongoing battle.
Against the backdrop of a chaotic and turbulent era, the play transports us into a world of fabulation, populated by larger-than-life characters—contemporary female archetypes who have paved the way to break free from invisible yet very real barriers.
A universe of great evocative power, echoing a crying need for utopia, hope, and humanity.
Fables is a work produced with the invaluable support of the National Arts Centre’s National Creation Fund, the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Conseil des arts de Montréal.
